The "Sunspot" Octaver

A very belated happy New Year to y`all! I`ve been working on a new EP so I haven`t dedicated as much time to electronics as I really wanted to. Here`s a cool little guy I made over the holidays...


This is a Behringer Octaver Pedal that`s been jacked to the nines! It`s got three boost switches - the far left one is a small boost to the higher octave, the second one is a treble boost to the bottom octave, and the far right switch is a massive bass boost to the bottom octave!

I took this sucker down to a studio in town and plugged it into the bass cab, the thing shook the walls so hard that you could almost see the sound pressure!

Here is a mish-mash of my recordings that day, I think I may have had the low-cut on the mics turned on (silly me), but I think you get the idea. It also produces a pretty sweet "ripping" sound on some settings, in this case it`s my taishogoto I believe.
